Are you sure it is an Installshield CAB file (it may be a Microsoft CAB file - try opening it up in WinZip). If it is Installshield CAB then try running an ISCAB.EXE on it.

Kim, I get the impression that it's not extracting the CABs which is the problem, but *extracting their content*. Kent, The CAB format used by *native* InstallShield (i.e. Not MSI-based InstallShield installers) is different to what WinZIP, WinRAR, PowerDesk, Windows Explorer et al are expecting.

Thank you all for your reply's.but i know how to do the manual inputs such as the x and y, tool, depth and left right or center corrections.what im looking for is software that i can import my dxf or dwg files and then specify what tool and depth from there like alot of the other traditional cnc software for laser's, plasma's, waterjet's, etc. We have all of these wonderful toys but the software for each machine is different and none are compatible with the rover b 4.40 ftk router.the thing i dont like about biesseworks (we have the bare bones package) is that you have to manually input your drawings such as starting points and the line or arc and specify endpoints.basically for me its doing the same job twice and its very time consuming why should i have to do that when ive already drawn my part or engravings in auto-cad 2008.its tedious and getting very frustrating.

I seem to recall finding a CAB reader somewhere but for the life of me, I can't find it on my machine. If I come across it, I'll post the details. In the meantime, as I say, do an admin install. Don't know if we should encourage people to use tools like this.;-). But its a good start, the CAB viewer of the actual IS version is made up of more or less the same files. @Graham: Universal Extractor uses iscomp6 to do its job. Unfortunately, newer IS-cab-files have a slightly changed format and are not recognized by uni-extract.

I've had this in my Tools repository for so long I can't recall when I found it and didn't know it was a cracked version, thought this was developed outside of IS for debugging, reverseenginering or what else we like to call it.
